Lectionary Bible Study

You are invited to come to the Lectionary Bible Study at 11:30 each Tuesday. In this class we ask tough questions about the scripture, our faith and how to apply it to our lives. We have great discussion and would love to have you join us. Please feel free to brown bag it if you are on your lunch hour.

Early Elementary Class

Pam Greenwell and has been teaching the Preschool , Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades for 30 years. They have changed rooms many times and now are upstairs. They always have a Bible story followed by a craft or color page that goes with the lesson. She has seen many children grow and change through our Sunday School classes. The kids love to play with the blocks, do puzzles or play in our little kitchen when they are finished with their lessons.

Older Elementary Class

Orion and Heidi Whitney teach this energetic group of children. They use a variety of materials, including: the Bible, poetry, and a Bible Story from the “Bible Story Book. Sometimes this group plays Bible Trivia. Sometimes they use the Tweens in Transition material to do a fun activity. The children always have the opportunity to share about what is going on in their lives and the class closes with prayer concerns and prayer. Oh and of course, there are snacks!

Jr./Sr. High

The Jr./Sr. High class is currently studying the Parables of Jesus. Our lessons generally occur during the first half hour. The second half hour is devoted to Bible Trivia, which can become quite competitive. Bible Trivia has been a great tool for teaching youth the books of the Bible, the heroes (many imperfect), the wide variety of stories and topics contained therein, as well as the historic content. Our attendance each Sunday ranges from two to eight youth. We occasionally do craft projects for special events, such as Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day and Fathers’ Day.
